After St. George’s Day, warm Mediterranean air masses will raise temperatures to 24-25 degrees
Throughout the first half of May, the weather will remain unstable, with frequent precipitation and the development of spring thunderstorms. However, as the month progresses, daytime temperatures will continue to rise with a tendency to catch up with the warmer spring range.
We welcome Labor Day with a sunny morning and temperatures in the afternoon between 20 and 25 degrees. Cloudiness will increase from noon onwards with the formation of thunderstorm cells with short-term spring precipitation in the areas around Stara Planina and south of it. Stronger thunderstorm activity is expected in the Rhodopes and the Southeast, where small hail is not excluded.
In Tuesday cloudiness will be minimal in the east and variable in the west, there will be no precipitation, and temperatures will remain with slight fluctuations. Wednesday and Thursday will be marked by the passage of a Mediterranean cyclone. We will feel cooling by 3-4 degrees. It will be predominantly cloudy with rain and thunder, which will be more irrigating in some areas of southern Bulgaria.
In the days around St. George’s Day the weather will calm down with more sun and temperatures around and above 20 degrees. There will be temporary increases in cloud cover, but precipitation will be scarce. After the holiday, during the period May 10-15, our country will come under the influence of warm Mediterranean air masses, with which we will feel more stable warming.
If the current forecasts are maintained, in the middle of the month, even in the traditionally colder regions of our country, the thermometers will hit 24-25 degrees. In these days, the cloudiness will be dynamic with conditions for afternoon spring rains, informs nova.bg.
