In Mexico, 18 people were killed and 33 injured as a passenger bus rolled into a cliff.
On the Tepic-Puerto Vallarta highway in the state of Nayarit in the south of the country, the bus whose driver lost control of the steering wheel rolled into a valley several meters deep.
In the accident, 18 people, including 11 women, lost their lives and 33 people were injured.
The Nayarit Attorney General’s Office reported that the bus left Jalisco and went to the town of Compostela in the city of Guadalajara.
An investigation into the accident has been initiated. In the footage, it is seen that the bus has been scrapped.
According to data from the National Institute of Public Health (INSP), Mexico ranks 7th worldwide and 3rd among Latin American countries in fatal traffic accidents.
