“Succession Season 4 Episode 6: Planting the Seeds of the Show’s Endgame”

“Succession Season 4 Episode 6 Review: Paving the Way for the Show’s Epic Conclusion”

Succession Season 4 has been nothing short of superb, and Episode 6 is no exception. While some may consider it the weakest episode so far, it’s important to note that the pacing is intentional, as the show is now focused on the endgame. The central tension of the season has been who will take over Waystar, and the unexpected twists and turns have kept audiences on the edge of their seats. While Episode 3 and 4 already subverted expectations, this episode delves deeper into the power struggles of the Roy family, with every scene building towards a truly epic conclusion.

Logan Roy, played by the brilliant Brian Cox, returns to Succession, albeit in a video recording. The scene is filled with tension as he critiques the makeup artist and compares her to his “f*cking idiot kids.” The launch of Living+ raises even more questions as viewers are left to decipher what the new venture actually is. The Swede, Lukas Matsson, doesn’t seem to like it and attempts to put a stop to it. Meanwhile, Kendall and Roman are plotting their own coronation, with Shiv left out of the picture.

The relationships within the Roy family are also put under the microscope in this episode. The unexpected romantic tension between Shiv and Tom adds a layer of complexity to their already complicated dynamic. Roman’s grief over his father’s death makes him increasingly vicious, as we see with his firing of Joy. It’s clear that the show is setting up for a truly unforgettable conclusion, and Episode 6 is just the beginning.

Overall, Succession Season 4 Episode 6 does feel a little uneventful in terms of plot progression, but it’s clear that each scene is carefully crafted to build towards the show’s ultimate conclusion. The superb acting, writing, and direction is as strong as ever, and it’s clear that Succession is one of the best shows on television right now.
