From the proper connection to the well-thought-out modes and mechanics, Capcom has already proven time and time again that they do things differently (read: make improvements) when it comes to the Street Fighter franchise with the upcoming Street Fighter 6.
This past week’s headlines have given us a lot of new information, and one of the smallest new bells and whistles, urgent at least, that we’ve noticed comes in the pre-war screen. Zangif, the game’s biggest competitor to date, is tied into a much smaller game, and for the first time you can tell right from this screen.
For example, Abigail from Street Fighter 5 clearly has a larger body than everyone else, so that doesn’t mean Capcom didn’t make any adjustments for the difference in character sizes when shown before fights.
Even in the example of the eight-foot-tall brawler, seeing him appear first next to his opponent in the game is usually surprising if you’ve only seen the earlier screens.
We’ve seen some character juxtapositions with the Street Fighter 6 screen, thanks to a couple of closed betas and some developer screenshots, but it wasn’t until after last week’s intel dump that we got a picture of the Russian wrestler next to Kami. on the opposite screen.
At seven feet tall and weighing just over 250 pounds, he completely dwarfs his opponent, who is over 5 feet tall and weighs between 100-130 pounds (these numbers fluctuate between games).
The Iron Cyclone head is twice as heavy as the Cammy, which appears to be for the SF6.
Yes, the best thing about SF6 Versus screens is that your character can make four goofy faces while you’re waiting to battle. Although they are relatively the same size.
Cammy vs. Street Fighter 2, Alpha, 4, 5 vs. In some of Zangief’s photos we love, Cami always looks closer than she should (she’s also standing on crates of apples in examples that show her height).
