Irish Sign Language (ISL) RTÉ weather presenter, Sarah Jane O’Regan, has made a triumphant return to TV after undergoing a double mastectomy and breast cancer treatment. Sarah Jane’s positivity has been widely praised online, and her return to presenting the popular ISL weather forecast has been warmly welcomed. A native ISL signer from a large deaf family, Sarah Jane has presented News for the Deaf on RTÉ and signed on The Late Late Toy Show in 2021. She has also created a series of YouTube videos teaching people how to sign. Sarah Jane’s tweet announcing her return to TV has been liked more than 700 times, with many well-wishers applauding her courage and recovery.
