Apple to Launch First-Ever Periscope Lens on iPhone 15 Pro Max
Rumors suggest that Apple is set to launch its first-ever periscope lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, offering up to double the optical zoom. This move will put Apple in competition with other smartphone manufacturers who have already brought periscope capabilities to their devices. The Galaxy S22 Ultra from Samsung, for example, offers up to 10x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom.
According to reports, the periscope lens will be limited exclusively to the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max, with the feature expanding to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max in 2024. Ming-Chi Kuo, a respected industry analyst, was first to suggest that Apple could limit the new periscope camera capabilities to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Recently leaked CAD files for the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro were turned into renders, revealing USB-C support and a new curve design for the Pro series. Stay updated on the latest news on the highly anticipated iPhone 15 Pro Max by subscribing to updates.
