OVIEDO, 30 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The general secretary of Foro Asturias and candidate for the presidency of the Principality of Asturias, Adrián Pumares, participated this Sunday in Laviana in the race against cancer. From there, Pumares has committed to “increasing investment in research, extending the age in breast and colon cancer screenings, and launching new screenings related to other types of cancer such as lung cancer.”
The Asturian politician explained that “in order to ensure that more and more cancer cases are cured, research and early diagnosis are essential, and for this it is necessary for the Administrations to allocate resources to the fight against cancer.”
In terms of research, Pumares has explained that the investment of the Government led by the socialist Adrián Barbón in R+D+i is less than that of the rest of the Autonomous Communities and has promised to “increase the amount of R+D+i in the Asturian budgets to, together with the private sector, meet the objective of raising investment in Science to 3% of GDP by the year 2030”.
On the other hand, the Foro candidate has accused Barbón of ignoring sport and has guaranteed that when Foro Asturias is in government as of May 28 they will promote a deduction in the regional section of personal income tax for practicing sports activities and with a Vice Ministry of Sports.
“Foro Asturias will implement a deduction in personal income tax of 30% of the expenses incurred for sports practice, with a limit of 300 euros. This deduction will rise to 50% for people over 65 years of age and up to 100% for people over 75 years, and in the case of people with disabilities it will increase to 50% for those with a disability equal to or greater than 33%, and it will be 100% in people with a disability equal to or greater than 65%,” he explained.
