“2023 MotoGP Standings Update: Bagnaia Tops After Winning Spanish MotoGP”

The 2023 MotoGP standings underwent significant changes after Pecco Bagnaia won the Spanish MotoGP, Sunday (30/4).

After failing to finish in the last two series, Bagnaia finally made it to the podium. Unmitigated, the Ducati racer immediately kicked off and finished at the forefront.

Bagnaia became the fastest in the Spanish MotoGP with a record time of 39 minutes, 29.085 seconds. The Ducati racer outperformed Brad Binder and Jack Miller who had to settle for finishing in second and third positions.

The Spanish MotoGP race was stopped with a red flag on the first lap after an accident involving Fabio Quartararo, Miguel Oliveira and Marco Bezzecchi at the second corner of lap 1.

The incident injured Oliveira and failed to continue the race. Meanwhile Quartararo was still able to continue the race but was only able to finish 10th. Bezzecchi was actually still able to continue the race but ultimately failed to finish.

This result made Bagnaia soar to the top of the 2023 MotoGP standings with 87 points, shifting Bezzecchi who had to be willing to drop to second place with 65 points.

While the top five respectively occupied Brad Binder, Jack Miller, Jorge Martin. Meanwhile, Alex Marquez is currently in 10th place.
