“Honda Brio Outperforms Toyota Avanza in Sales for March 2023 in Indonesia”

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Toyota Avanza, the ‘million people’ car, must once again acknowledge the superiority of its competitor, namely the tiny ‘terrorist’ Honda Brio. The reason is, last March 2023, the Honda hatchback car managed to sell 7,327 units beating the Avanza, which was far behind with sales of 5,641 units.

Brio is also the Honda model with the highest sales, contributing 49% of Honda’s total sales in March 2023. In addition, the Honda Brio is also listed as the car with the highest retail sales in Indonesia with total sales of 7,159 units.

This is not the first time that Honda Brio has recorded this in 2023. In the first 3 months in a row, the hatchback is again listed as the car with the highest monthly wholesale sales in Indonesia and also beats the Avanza.

For example, last February the superiority of the Honda Brio (RS and Satya) was only a few, namely only 48 units, Brio sold 5,613 units while Avanza sold 5,565 units.

The second competition is fierce, but other cars also need to be considered. The pick-up type car, the Daihatsu Gran Max, managed to sell 5,466 units, followed by the Daihatsu Sigra, 5,027 units, and the Suzuki Carry PU: 4,504 units.

Another Avanza competitor in the Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) segment, namely Xpander, is in fifth position by selling 4,320 units.
