The objective of the research was to determine the performance of different breeds of dogs in various cognitive tests. Using a sample of more than 1,000 dogs, the researchers found several differences between breeds in traits such as social cognition, problem-solving ability, and inhibitory control.
1) Belgian priest (Belgian Malinois) In the first place we find the Belgian Malinois shepherd dog, one of the varieties of Belgian shepherd: in the different tests to which it was subjected, it obtained 34 out of 39 points.
2) Australian shepherd Kelpie. The Kelpie Australian Shepherd Dog is an Australian breed of dog born from the mating of collies, brought to Australia by settlers, with dingoes: among the most curious and lively breeds investigated.
3) Labrador retriever. The Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular breeds in the world, mainly due to its generally docile and sociable nature.
4) Border collie. In fourth position is the border collie, a breed of dog native to the south of Scotland, on the border with England. It is one of the breeds with the best memory.
