In a statement issued by WME from its social profile, the agency confirmed that it will “focus on developing Meghan’s multi-faceted business and its broader ecosystem,” and that they are “honored to announce that WME now represents Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, in all areas”.
In addition, the company will be in charge of ensuring the proper development of Archewell, the entity owned by the Dukes of Sussex in which they carry out charitable work.
The William Morris Endeavor representation agency was founded in New York in 1898 by William Morris, a German of Jewish descent. Today, it is part of the Endeavor holding company and is headquartered in Beverly Hills.
Specialized in the film, entertainment and music industry, WME has represented bands such as the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys or Sonny & Cher, as well as celebrities from the film industry such as Al Pacino, Clint Eastwood and Barbra Streisand.
The team that will cover the wife of Prince Harry will be headed by Ari Emanuel, executive director of the group and one of the founders of Endeavor, as well as by agents Brad Slater and Jill Smoller. All of them will be in charge of representing her and supporting her in her projects.
According to information from Variety, Meghan rules out acting-related tasks for the moment and her main reason for joining WME is to have the maximum possible support in her career.
The announcement of her union with the agency has generated great expectations in the world of entertainment and the followers of the Duchess of Sussex hope to see new projects in which she participates soon.
