“Author Liva Ingebrigtsen publishes her debut children’s book: Familien Springebrigtsen makes a circus”

This spring, Liva Ingebrigtsen (26) has been relevant as one of the participants in the TV 2 success “Kompani Lauritzen”.

This week, the mother of two published her very first book. The debut book is a children’s book with the title “Familien Springebrigtsen makes a circus”.

When Se og Hør met the new author, admittedly before the book launch, she could tell that she was very much looking forward to presenting her latest project.

– I’m very excited, it’s the first time I’ve done something like that.

Childhood dream

Ingebrigtsen could tell that even though it is currently very popular to write children’s books with an underlying moral or learning, that was not her main goal.

– The book is mainly designed to entertain. I know it’s really cool to have a moral behind it, but I’ve tried to make something I liked when I was little. I wanted to write something that gives some reading pleasure.

– I have read it to my children, and they think it was very funny. But I am very excited to see how it will be received by others.

Now she hopes the debut book can open doors to a new career path – one she has dreamed of for a long time.

– I have always wanted to write a book, it has been my big childhood dream – so I hope that I can publish more, admitted the 26-year-old.

When the mother of two sat down to write, the story was one she had thought about for a long time.

– “The Springebrigtsen family” is about a family that believes itself to be completely normal and that everyone else is unusual – something that most families often think. Along the way, there are some elements that shake up everyday life a little and make it a little different and a little fun.

A children’s book often contains various illustrations. For Ingebrigtsen, it was important that she made these herself.

– It was very intense and it took a long time. Henrik (Ingebrigtsen, the husband journ.anm.) was going crazy. There were paint stains everywhere.

Reality shock: – Never seen before

– I became very absorbed in it and insisted on painting with watercolors, but it was fun. Fun and stressful, emphasized the author.
