Hristo Ivanov’s candidacy for prime minister of a future government was “never put on the table” in the talks between the first two political forces. This was stated by the chairman of the PG of GERB-SDS Desislava Atanasova to bTV.
“We work well with Hristo Ivanov, I personally have very good communication with him and with all my colleagues,” added Atanasova.
“I am hopeful that we find many common points in our management programs – even in the details between the PP-DB and the GERB-SDS team. The talks lasted two days, because this is the second step of such a process, the third step remains. It is let’s talk about the personnel composition of a future general government,” she added.
Atanasova stated that if we have to talk about compromises and forgiveness, GERB-SDS has demonstrated forgetting its political ego.
“From general management, now all those who will enter it will suffer damage. This is quite understandable, but from the sixth election Bulgaria will suffer damage,” said Atanasova.
“Two options for a future government”
Atanasova stated that there are two possibilities for the consolidation of a future government: “one is for the two parliamentary groups to have political representation, respectively the presence of people from GERB-SDS should be identical, although GERB-SDS is the first political force.”
“The second possibility is to make an equally distant cabinet, without politicians as a presence in it, and for all party leaders to be in the first row and together to control this government,” said the chairman of the PG of GERB-SDS.
“PP and DB isolate themselves from each other”
“I see that colleagues from PP-DB are isolated, I even see that PP and DB are already isolating themselves from each other. Hristo Ivanov hardly participates in these conversations (i.e. between GERB-SDS and PP-DB). If he is at the table, he is silent, as is Atanas Atanasov,” said Atanasova.
She added that she had heard that “Yes, Bulgaria” did not want to participate with a proposal in the government.
