“Mauricio Pochettino in Negotiations with Chelsea for Head Coach Role”

Chelsea and former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino have yet to reach an agreement on a future partnership, according to Football London.

According to the source, on Monday the parties held a decisive round of negotiations, as a result of which it became finally clear that Pochettino is the main candidate for the role of Chelsea head coach. The Argentine negotiates with the club himself, without agents.

Londoners’ interim manager Frank Lampard will work the current season through to the end, after which Chelsea will take over Pochettino, who has been out of a job since he was sacked by PSG last summer. Under Lampard, who joined the club in early April, Chelsea have lost five games in a row.
