President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin assured that our country will not follow the rules that the West seeks to impose on the international community.
According to TASS, the head of state made the corresponding statement on Friday, April 28, speaking in St. Petersburg at the Council of Legislators at the Federal Assembly.
The President recalled the attempts of “former partners” in some countries “to impose their views and so-called rules on everyone”, which no one saw. According to him, in this way they “maniacally destroy the legal framework and channels of dialogue.”
“Somewhere under the covers they write and they themselves do something with it under the covers. But we will not crawl under the covers to them. But we are not going to follow their rules either, ” the Russian leader said.
He also noted the increased intensity of international contacts, including through the Russian parliament. Putin positively assessed the emerging trend and confirmed Russia’s refusal to “go into self-isolation.”
In the same speech, the head of state named the most important task of the Russian authorities. Putin considers improving the quality of life and income of citizens to be such a task.
