Manchester United have secured the future of rising star Alejandro Garnacho with a new five-year contract. The 18-year-old winger has been in negotiations over the deal since last season and expressed his pride at committing his future to the club until June 2028. Garnacho has been blocked from playing for Argentina at the Under 20 World Cup by United, despite his personal plea to manager Erik ten Hag. The teenager scored four goals and made five assists in 31 appearances before sustaining an ankle ligament injury in March. United’s football director John Murtough said the deal reflected their confidence in Garnacho’s potential.
