The state fund “Agriculture” today (Friday) pays farmers the state aid to overcome the negative consequences of the war in Ukraine. The aid budget amounts to BGN 213 million.
It is planned that owners of large and small ruminants, horses and bee families will receive BGN 102 million in support due to the war in Ukraine, with the highest rate for buffaloes and dairy cows under selection control – BGN 230 per animal. BGN 27 is the aid for sheep, BGN 50 for horses, and BGN 10 for a bee colony.
BGN 111 million has been earmarked for the producers of fruits and vegetables, and the most cultivated garden fruits and vegetables in our country, as well as greenhouse production, vines, mushrooms, roses and tobacco are subject to support.
The maximum amount of financial aid is up to 250,000 euros, but yesterday the Ministry of Agriculture announced that in mid-May there will be an additional intake for farmers who failed to submit their documents at the beginning of April or have reached the aid ceiling, as as we await permission from Brussels to exceed the ceiling of authorized aid.
