“AEW Collision: Rumored Return of CM Punk & Major Name Debut, Roster Split, and Future of Other Shows”

AEW is set to launch a new primetime series called Collision on TNT on Saturdays (8-10 PM ET) soon. According to reports, it may debut on June 17 at the United Center in Chicago and feature the return of CM Punk. The announcement may come during the TNT upfronts on May 17. The show’s planned lineup includes another ‘major name’ in addition to CM Punk. However, due to its Saturday schedule, there may be frequent preemptions for NBA, NHL, and MLB playoffs, as well as NCAA basketball and US National soccer games.

AEW’s other shows, Rampage, will continue to air on TNT on Friday nights. The future of Dark and Dark Elevation remains uncertain, although rumors suggest Collision may allow for a soft roster split. According to backstage reports, The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club will work Wednesdays while FTR and CM Punk will work Saturdays. Chris Jericho may join Saturdays to give Punk a strong opponent.

As for Punk and Jericho, they had a meeting on April 21 to resolve any issues. Reports suggest the meeting went well, and Jericho wasn’t present on the recent episode, taping his appearance ahead of time. With promising plans and a star-studded cast, AEW’s Collision is set to take the world of wrestling by storm.
