Sony celebrated the premiere of PlayStation VR2 last quarter. The new model of virtual reality goggles debuted with a number of specially prepared productions in February. As noted by an industry analyst on Twitter under the nickname MauroNL, the Japanese did not mention the results of PS VR2 in the latest report.
An interesting note about Sony’s recent financial report: there was no mention of PSVR2. Not once has it been mentioned in all the IR materials.

Although in early March Hiroki Totoki, Sony’s CFO, admitted that the company is happy with the launch of PlayStation VR2, which will most likely surpass the previous virtual reality device in popularity, rumors of low interest in the novelty persist.
Last month, Bloomberg, citing research firm IDC, reported disappointing sales of the goggles and suggested that sooner or later the manufacturer would be forced to lower the price of the equipment. Subsequently, one tech insider suggested that Sony had scaled down production of the PS VR2.
Of course, all these reports have not been commented on in any way by the Japanese, however, some industry observers hoped that the corporation would focus on the situation of PlayStation VR2 in the current report, and this did not happen. This approach may spark further rumors…
