The International Boxing Association suspended representatives of USA Boxing after the Americans left the organization, and also complained about the alternative organization World Boxing as fraudulent

International Boxing Association (IBA) statedwhich recognized the decision of the US Boxing Federation (USA Boxing) to terminate its membership, and accused her of causing damage to her own athletes.

On April 26, USA Boxing announced its withdrawal from the IBA and its intention to become a member of an alternative organization, World Boxing, which the IBA considers “fraudulent” and which it complained to the Independent Boxing Integrity Unit (BIIU).

Now, all members of USA Boxing, including boxers, officials and coaches, are “prohibited from having any relationship with the IBA and from participating in any competition under its auspices or under the auspices of any affiliated members.”

The USA became the first country to boycott the IBA World Cup after the decision to allow Russians and Belarusians under their flags, several other countries followed suit.

IBA is headed by Russian Umar Kremlev.
