The action RPG ‘Waryong: Fallen Dynasty (hereafter ‘Waryong’)’, which was created in the world of the Three Kingdoms, has sold 1 million copies.
Koei Tecmo Games announced today (28th) that the Dark Three Kingdoms action RPG ‘Wahryong’, which was officially released in March, has exceeded 1 million copies in cumulative shipments worldwide. If the shipment volume of the package version, the sales volume of the download version, and the cumulative number of players who played Waryong through the Xbox Game Pass are added, the number reaches 3.8 million.
Waryong is the latest action game developed by Team Ninja, the maker of the Inwang series. It is noteworthy that even those who are not interested in action games are encouraged to approach with interest at least once by utilizing the ‘Three Kingdoms’ IP, which is well known to domestic users.
In addition, the combat system that allows you to feel the exciting taste of the game, the heroes of the Three Kingdoms that appear throughout the story, and the level design that has improved from ‘Niwang’ by adding a jump and fraud system received favorable reviews. On the other hand, it was pointed out as a regrettable point that the tension was reduced due to the ‘repelling’ system, which was too good, and the pleasure of weapon farming was reduced. Currently, Waryong is recording a high score of 81 on Metacritic and Open Critic.
Koei Tecmo announced that it plans to sell a total of three downloadable contents in addition to free updates in the future. In the case of download content, it will be filled with content that can be enjoyed not only by users who have already played all of this work, but also by users who have not yet encountered the game.
The third-person action RPG ‘Warong’, which has become more familiar with the addition of the Three Kingdoms worldview, can currently be played through the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox one, and Xbox series X/S platforms.
