“The Gospel of Jesus Christ According to Saint John: The Meaning Behind Eating His Flesh and Drinking His Blood (Jn 6, 52-59)”

Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John, (Jn 6, 52-59)

During that time,
the Jews were quarreling among themselves:
“How this one
can he give us his flesh to eat? »
Jesus then said to them:
“Amen, amen, I tell you:
if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of man,
and if you don’t drink his blood,
you have no life in you.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood
has eternal life;
and I will raise him up at the last day.
Indeed, my flesh is real food,
and my blood is the real drink.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood
dwell in me,
and I dwell in him.
Just as the living Father sent me,
and that I live by the Father,
likewise the one who eats me,
he too will live by me.
This is the bread that came down from heaven:
it is not like that which the fathers ate.
They are dead;
the one who eats this bread
will live forever. »

This is what Jesus said
while teaching at the Capernaum synagogue.
