The International Space Station (ISS) is technically obsolete, so it will be deorbited in 2030-2031.
This was stated by the head of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Bill Nelson, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to his briefing.
According to Nelson, in the future, private companies will be involved in orbital activities.
“Therefore, we are now giving contracts to several commercial companies to create commercial space stations,” – said the head of NASA at a hearing in the US House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
