“Putin’s Retaliation: Missile Strikes on Residential Buildings in Nikolaev”

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, said that Russia did not expect that the conversation between Vladimir Zelensky and Xi Jinping would be so meaningful, and therefore the aggressor could “retaliate” by arranging nightly missile attacks on residential areas of Nikolaev.

Podolyak stressed that the President of Ukraine explained to the Chinese leader that the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine should end with the restoration of the territorial integrity of our state within the 1991 borders. Dialogue with Russia is possible only when the invaders withdraw their troops from Ukraine.

Podolyak believes that the Kremlin promised China to quickly seize Ukraine and establish it under its regime, but Putin’s plan failed, and the war has been going on for 14 months.

“Therefore, this call after the unsuccessful Russian offensive and on the eve of certain offensive actions by Ukraine is very symptomatic for Russia. Moreover, there is an intensification of relations. This is the Ukrainian ambassador to China and China’s special representative in the region, Li Hui, who should work on proposals on what position should be occupied by China,” Podolyak believes.

The adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration also noted that Putin promised Xi not to abuse nuclear weapons, but immediately after that he announced the deployment of his warheads in Belarus. He added that “that Russia as a subject of global politics no longer exists, but there is China, which wants to take certain political positions in the global distribution.” Therefore, after the conversation between Xi and Zelensky, the Russian Federation fired rockets at residential buildings.

“This is the murder of the civilian population. An apartment building needs to be destroyed with a Caliber rocket. This is all eloquent and clearly emphasizes. It seems to me that with its policy, in a very limited time, Russia will communicate with itself and hold summits within the framework of the Saratov-Voronezh concept” Podolyak said.

Recall that on April 26, Xi Jinping spoke with Vladimir Zelensky. The President of Ukraine stressed that the Ukrainians want peace, but we are talking about the resumption of the territorial integrity of our state.
