“Prabowo Subianto yet to decide running mate for 2024 presidential election”

Chairman (Ketum) Gerindra Prabowo Subianto still haven’t decided on a cawapres figure to accompany him to run in 2024 presidential election. Prabowo asked the public to calm down. He made sure there would be a vice president chosen by him.

This was conveyed by Prabowo in a press conference after the Gerindra Party Coordination Meeting at his residence on Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta, Thursday (27/4/2023). Prabowo joked about the name of the cawapres which he kept asking himself.

“Any questions? You must be asking who the vice president is, right? Who is the vice president,” said Prabowo. The cadres accompanying him laughed at Prabowo’s words.

“Calm down there will be, calm down,” he continued.

Gerindra Confirms Prabowo as Presidential Candidate

Secretary General of Gerindra, Ahmad Muzani, emphasized that Gerindra will continue to carry the General Chair (Ketum), Prabowo Subianto, as a presidential candidate (candidate) in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Muzani’s assertion was conveyed when asked about the opportunities for a duet with PDIP. PDIP is known to have carried Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate.

“Prabowo is Gerindra’s presidential candidate, which we have determined through a national leadership meeting. It says that there is only one presidential candidate, one name, his name is Prabowo Subianto. The presidential candidate, not the vice presidential candidate,” said Muzani at his residence, Karawaci, Tangerang, Monday (24/4) /2023).

Muzani said the chairman of the PKB, Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin had a high chance of becoming Prabowo’s cawapres. Because PKB has declared a coalition with Gerindra.

“Yes, how many times have we mentioned that the cawapres will accompany Pak Prabowo. Among political party leaders, for example, there is the general chairman of PKB, who has now expressed support for Prabowo, yes PKB, Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar,” he said.
