“India Expresses Strong Stance on China’s Line of Control Disputes During Defense Minister Meeting”

India told China to resolve Line of Control disputes in accordance with existing bilateral agreements. India expressed its position in a meeting with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu in Delhi.

The Chinese Defense Minister has arrived in India to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Summit tomorrow. The discussion is in the background of recurring conflict on the border. This is the first meeting between the Defense Ministers of the two countries after the Galwan standoff.

India told the meeting that the violation of existing agreements has eroded the entire basis of bilateral relations and withdrawal of troop deployment along the border remains logical.
