“International Winger Gabin Villiere Makes Comeback for Toulon in Challenge Semi-Final”

This is the moment he was hoping for so much. Eight days ago, the director of rugby of the RCT Pierre Mignoni evoked in our columns a return « imminent » for Gabin Villiere. Victim of a fractured left fibula at the beginning of February, during a training camp for the fifteen of France for the Six Nations Tournament, the international winger (27 years old, 12 caps) was impatiently waiting to return to the field.

After resuming collective training a few days ago with Toulon, Villière will be well aligned at the start this Sunday (1:30 p.m.) for the Challenge semi-final against the Italians of Treviso in Mayol.

In recent months, the former Rouen player has been unlucky. He was first injured, at the end of May, in the final of this same Challenge lost against LOU, before relapsing in November against Stade Français. In the end, he has only played 142 minutes since last summer. The other good news is that of the return of South African winger or full-back Cheslin Kolbe. Injured in an ankle against Lyon on March 25, the South African will also make his comeback in the starting fifteen.
