Sony has just confirmed that on the 11th of May it will officially present the new smartphone Xperia 1 V. The confirmation came through a promotional video, released on the YouTube platform.

Although the images do not reveal much about this new smartphone, it is possible to see that the Xperia 1 V arrives with a renewed camera module. Some leakers have already advanced in the Web world that the terminal will feature AI focus tracking technology.

And, according to the information released so far, the Xperia 1 V will be another all-powerful of photography. In its rear camera configuration it will house the Sony IMX989 sensor with an inch in size and a periscope sensor with variable zoom.

Inside, the model will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that will possibly be paired with 12 GB of RAM. In internal storage, the new Xperia should be available with 256 GB and 512 GB. Some sources also point to a variant with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage being marketed.

As for the other specifications, the model is expected to feature a screen with a 4K resolution, like its predecessor, and with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
