“Meet Ilario Vespanda: The Italian Traveler Circumnavigating the Globe on a Vespa Scooter”

ThatIlario Vespanda, who has been traveling around the world on a scooter for over a year, has reached Munnar. He is a native of Milan, Italy and a photographer. He reached Munnar on Wednesday afternoon. The thirty-three-year-old man started his journey from his native country in 2017 on his 1968 model Italian Vespa scooter. After traveling for six years, he reached India after traveling 1.9 lakh kilometers.

After visiting most of the European countries like Britain, France, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Poland, he reached the African continent. He traveled continuously and visited 40 countries in Africa. Later he came to Asia and visited countries like Israel, Egypt and almost all the Gulf countries. After visiting Bangladesh and Pakistan, he came to India through the Wagah border three months ago.

Have visited many places like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. He reached Kerala through Udumalpeta Chinnar check post in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. He runs his own tourist cottage in Italy and started traveling the world in 2017 by accumulating his ten years of savings. Ilario, who is single, says that his wife and girlfriend are all Vespa scooters.

He also says that the 55-year-old scooter did not cause any problems during the journey. He said that when he came to Munnar from the intense heat in other states, he felt like he had reached heaven. His journey is very slow with a clear understanding of the places he is visiting. Low cost accommodations are preferred. He said that he has visited more than 100 countries so far.

After spending another month and a half in India, the plan is to visit countries like Nepal and China and reach Indonesia. From there the scooter will be delivered to Australia by ship. After visiting Australia, the scooter will again arrive in North America on another ship. He said that he will continue his journey for another four years and will return to his native Italy after visiting North and South America completely.
