Biden has no choice, writes longtime US correspondent Tomasz Zalewski in Polityka:

“When Biden ran for the White House in 2020, he said he wanted to be a bridge to the next generation, which was taken as a suggestion that if he won, he would limit his presidency to one term. Many commentators are now wondering why he changed his mind. … Some cite his patriotic motives and disgust with Trump. But the main reason, in my opinion, is different: There simply isn’t a better candidate for the White House in the Democratic Party right now who has any chance of being elected.”
