“Biden: North Korean Nuclear Attack Would Mean End of Kim Regime”

US President Joe Biden said that a North Korean nuclear attack on the United States or its allies would be the end of the Kim Jong-un regime.

Details: Biden noted that such an attack would be “unacceptable and lead to the end of any regime that decides on such actions.”

On Wednesday, the US announced new efforts to protect South Korea from the nuclear threat, including plans to station nuclear submarines in the country for the first time in decades.

The leaders also agreed to establish a nuclear advisory group to improve coordination, share information on strategic arms cooperation and conduct more joint military exercises.

“We are not going to place nuclear weapons on the peninsula, but we will visit ports, nuclear submarines and the like. We will not back down from this,” Biden said.

At the same time, Seoul pledged not to build its own nuclear arsenal.
