“Former Manchester City Player Samir Nasir Reveals Insights on Training with Arrogant Coach Pep Guardiola”

Manchester

Samir Nasir recounted his training experience Pep Guardiola. The former Manchester City player admits that Guardiola is a great coach who is arrogant.

Nasri had a career at Man City from 2011 to 2017. He was loaned to Sevilla in 2016 when Guardiola arrived at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola had stopped Nasri from leaving, but the strong player moved because he was not guaranteed to play. Nasri then left Man City permanently in 2017.

Samir Nasir apparently still remembers the experience while being trained Pep Guardiola. The French man admitted that he had a disagreement with the Spanish tactician.

“Guardiola is arrogant, but in a good way. Guardiola knows he is the best coach and he explains it to you,” Nasri told The team.

“Pep knows what he brings to the club and he knew when he arrived at City he had full power. For him it was quite easy to enforce the law. After that he became a straight forward and honest person.”

“Little by little I managed to make him change his mind. He was angry with me many times. He said that I was a wasted player, that I shouldn’t be playing there but at Barcelona. He wanted me to stay and play there.”

“However, I said he couldn’t guarantee me a start and I had to play. He told me he thought I was wrong but I still had two years left on my contract anyway,” he said.

Samir Nasir continued his career at Antalyaspor and West Ham United after leaving Man City. He hung up his boots at the Belgian club, Anderlecht, in 2020.
