“Nigerian U-20 team requests Ghazl El Mahalla striker Charles Bassey for World Cup participation”

The Board of Directors of Ghazl El Mahalla Football Company, headed by Osama Khalil, received an official fax from the Nigerian Football Association requesting to call up Charles Bassey, the team’s striker, to participate with his country’s U-20 youth team in the upcoming World Cup in Argentina.

It is expected that the player will join the preparatory camp in early May, when the tournament will start from May 20 to June 11, provided that he returns to the team after completing his participation in the Youth World Cup.

Nigerian Charles Bassey joined the Ghazl El Mahalla team last January during the last winter transfer period, in a 4-year free transfer deal.

Charles Bassey is considered one of the emerging football talents, as he was born on January 19, 2005. He participated with the team this season in 8 matches and managed to score two goals.
