Julian Nagelsmann, the German boss, has become the front runner to take over from Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur. However, Nagelsmann has told the club that he is not willing to take over until the summer and wants a decisive say in transfer dealings. Tottenham will have to meet his two big demands if they are to secure his services. Chairman Daniel Levy is keen to have Nagelsmann in place before the end of the season, with European qualification on the line. If Spurs fail to convince Nagelsmann to join, Feyenoord’s Arne Slot is being considered as the leading contender. Tottenham currently sit six points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester United with European qualification on the line. Jermaine Pennant is of the opinion that Tottenham will only play bad football until Levy is removed from his position.
