AvtoVAZ can arrange the assembly of a new generation Lada Vesta car in Uzbekistan. This was stated by the President of the company Maxim Sokolov at the International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia”.
“Already now, together with our partner, we are actively considering the nearest plans to restore the assembly of our cars. Moreover, it will be the flagship model – the new generation Lada Vesta model, ”he said (quoted by TASS).
Mr. Sokolov specified that in the future the concern plans to deepen the localization of car assembly in Uzbekistan. “In particular, welding and painting. And we are already negotiating this issue with our partners,” he assures.
In April, it became known about AvtoVAZ’s plans to start production at the former Nissan plant of the Lada X-Cross 5 crossover, a model completely identical to the FAW Bestune T77. The original Chinese car is still available from dealers, but Kommersant only found ads for 2022 model year cars. Prices for Bestune T77 start at almost 2.2 million rubles, how much Lada will cost is unknown.
