“Ensure Sufficient e-Toll Balance for Smooth Journey on Batang-Semarang Toll Road during Eid Homecoming”

Jakarta

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded a total of 12,209 vehicles with e-money balance (e-toll) is lacking at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) for the Batang-Semarang Toll Road during the H-7 to D-1 period for the 2023 Eid homecoming. The public is advised to ensure sufficient balance before starting the journey.

In GT Kalikangkung itself, road users pay the toll from Cikampek to Semarang. Then, approximately how much e-toll balance is needed so that the trip is safe and smooth?

Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head of Jasa Marga Lisye Octaviana said, road users with continuous trips for reverse flow, especially from Semarang to Jakarta, must prepare an e-toll with a minimum balance of IDR 500,000.

Meanwhile, for road users coming from Surabaya, Lisye also advised them to prepare an e-toll with a minimum balance of IDR 800,000. Thus, the trip will be smoother and queues can be minimized.

“For this reason, once again, ensure that you have sufficient e-toll balances to avoid lines at the toll gate,” said Lisye, in a written statement, quoted on Tuesday (25/4/2023).

Lisye also reminded that road users, especially those traveling on the Trans Java Toll Road with a closed transaction system (fare according to distance), can only use the same e-toll when they tap in and tap out, so when the balance is lacking they cannot borrow the e-toll. toll for other road users.

Meanwhile, during the D-7 to D-1 period, there were a total of 12,209 vehicles with an insufficient e-toll balance at the Kalikangkung GT. This amount is 3.97% of the total 306,980 vehicles that transact at the GT.
