The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, reported a high number of passengers during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming on Monday, with 65,858 passengers arriving. Senior Manager of Branch Communication and Legal at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, M. Holik Muwardi, noted that a total of 130,398 passengers were at the airport, with 919 flights expected on D+2 of Eid. Muwardi is optimistic that the number of passengers and flight traffic will increase during the 2023 Eid homecoming, compared to the achievements in 2022, in line with the revocation of the community mobility restriction (PPKM) earlier this year. On D+1 of Eid, a total of 121,408 passengers were departing and arriving at Soetta Airport, an increase from 100,844 passengers recorded in 2022. For more news updates from Tempo, click here.
