(Aburian) previously told the story of his suffering with the disease to «Emirates Today», saying that his health deteriorated greatly in late 2000, as he developed a high fever, with pain in the entire body, inability to move, and a feeling of constant fatigue, and I think He suffers from a deficiency in some vitamins, and after his illness became severe, his daughter took him to the nearest hospital, and he received some medicines, but they did not find any benefit.
He added that he went to the emergency department of Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, and after examining the specialist doctor, he was asked to conduct accurate laboratory tests and analyzes, and the results of the examinations showed that he was suffering from a defect in the functioning of blood cells, and he was suspected of having leukemia, so he was severely shocked, and the doctor reassured him of the possibility. There was an error in the results of the analyzes, and he was asked to repeat the examinations after a week, and he was prescribed some medications, painkillers, and antibiotics.
(Aburian) continued that he felt some improvement after taking the medicines regularly, pointing out that one day he was on his way to buy some orders, and he felt dizzy, after which he lost consciousness, and his wife called an ambulance, and he was transferred to Tawam Hospital.
He explained that he stayed in the hospital for several days, under careful medical care, and during that period the necessary examinations and analyzes were performed that confirmed that he had chronic myeloid leukemia, and he must immediately start treatment with special medicines for this type of cancer.
He added that he stayed in the hospital for two days, after which the doctor allowed him to go out and continue to take medications continuously, and assured him that if he did not take the medications, he would be exposed to dangerous complications, which would pose a threat to his life, and asked him to adhere to eating healthy food in order to maintain immunity.
(Aburian) indicated that he was working in a private company in Al Ain, and he had health insurance that covered the expenses of treatment, but a year ago his services were terminated due to old age, and he needed 12,750 dirhams to renew the health insurance card, so that he could continue to work. Treatment, and the problem is that the family is going through difficult financial conditions, and is unable to provide even a small part of the cost of renewing the health insurance card.
He explained that he is the only breadwinner for his family of four, and he is unemployed due to old age, and his brother provides him with some financial assistance, to meet food and clothing, and he has no source of income.
