Original title: Shenzhen “Mosquito Map” releases 3 medium-density communities on the list
On April 22, the Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention released the monitoring results of the city’s Aedes mosquito density in the first half of April (1st to 15th). Among the 425 monitoring points set up in the city, 32 were unqualified, accounting for 7.53%. Among the unqualified monitoring points, there are 3 residential areas in medium density, which have a certain risk of dengue fever transmission.
According to the city-wide Aedes density monitoring results, the three medium-density monitoring points are all residential areas, namely: Shuimuhuating, Taoyuan Street, Nanshan District, Wenzhuyuan, Zhaoshang Street, Nanshan District, and Geshui Village, Longgang Street, Longgang District. This is not only a map of mosquito “black spots” in Shenzhen, but also a “risk map” of dengue fever. The medium density indicates that there is a certain risk of dengue fever transmission. According to the risk assessment results of Aedes mosquito monitoring in Shenzhen, the rankings of the monitoring points that meet the prevention and control requirements in each district are: Baoan, Luohu, Yantian, Guangming, Futian, Dapeng, Nanshan, Pingshan, Longgang, and Longhua.
