Grateful for Another Ramadan and the Growth of Our Community
We give thanks to Allah for another blessed Ramadan and pray that everyone’s ibadaat and duas are accepted. Our community is growing stronger and more comfortable in our Muslim identity, and we are making positive contributions to Australia despite some recent controversies around moon sightings.
A Learning from the Prophet Ibrahim
As Prophet Ibrahim prayed for his descendants to establish prayer, we too must ensure that prayer is established for the success of future generations. Quran mentions Salah and Zakat together twenty-eight times, and Prophet Muhammad (s) also tied the pillar of Zakat with Salah.
Building Out Mosques Across the Country
With our expanding mosque capacity and partnerships with mosques as far as Darwin, we are building out the pillar of Zakat for the first time. This is a major milestone for our community and a step towards the continued success of our descendants on the path of Islam.
Encouraging Youth Participation
This Ramadan, we were encouraged to see so many youth participating in Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers. We have the recipe for our descendants’ success, and we wish everyone a blessed and happy Eid Mubarak.
