Apple is set to release a larger MacBook, potentially around June’s Worldwide Developer Conference, fulfilling the demand of MacOS fans who have been waiting for a 15-inch MacBook Air. However, despite multiple leaks from the supply chain and hardware showing up in developer logs, there is disappointment over the choice of chipset. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the 15-inch MacBook Air will offer two options, but will only be available with the 8-core and 10-core GPU variants of the M2 chipset. This has led to questions over why Apple is short-changing MacOS laptop fans in the long term. Consumers have been waiting for a larger MacBook Air for some time, but it appears that the technology involved will not be at the cutting-edge.
