On the night of Sunday, a woman in her 20s is said to have been raped at Bjølsen in Oslo.
This is confirmed by the Oslo police district to Dagbladet.
– No one has so far been arrested in the case, says Eivind Håndstad, head of crime in the Oslo police district, to Dagbladet.
The witness notified the police
It was a witness who notified the police about the incident at around 02.30 last night. The police quickly moved to the scene, and have since the early hours of Sunday morning carried out technical investigations at the scene.
– We quickly chose to initiate technical and tactical investigations, and we have been working on the case all day, says crime leader Håndstad.
The police have not formally questioned the offended woman, but she is said to have given an initial statement.
– We have been in dialogue with her, but questioning is something we have to do later, says Håndstad.
Did research outside
The police believe that one perpetrator is behind the incident, but have no information to release at this time.
Dagbladet is aware that the police have carried out a round of inquiries in the area this afternoon. The police have also conducted witness interviews in the case.
Several of the technical investigations have been carried out outdoors, according to photos Dagbladet has been sent.
– I do not have an overview of exactly where it happened, but in such cases the police will always prioritize investigating all central locations. This applies to both the possible crime scene and nearby areas, says Håndstad.
