“Rumor Killer: No Plans for WWE-WBD Relationship According to Report”

Could Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) be looking to take WWE programming onto their networks when WWE’s media rights expire in 2024? Rumours have been circulating, but according to a report from Fightful Select, there is very little substance to this rumour, with WWE having had no conversations about moving to WBD. Instead, WBD is expected to expand its relationship with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in terms of content and financial compensation, with the upcoming “AEW Collision” likely to be part of this expansion. Tony Khan, AEW’s CEO, has repeatedly spoken positively about the relationship between AEW and WBD, with the two entities having a strong partnership. Meanwhile, WWE has the backing of recently merged parent company Endeavor, which sees WWE become part of a $21 billion deal with mixed martial arts franchise UFC.
