Miami, Apr 23 (EFE).- The attraction of a huge dragon in the Disney theme park in Anaheim (California), caught fire on Saturday night without leaving any injuries, according to the authorities, who are investigating the causes.
Social networks show images of the dragon’s head from “Fantasmic!” in flames, which were spreading to the entire structure.
Visitors were evacuated from Tom Sawyer Island, where the show takes place, Disneyland reported.
“We saw some little explosions coming out of the head, and then all of a sudden the whole dragon was gobbled up, and then a (Disney) worker started coming out escorting everyone for safety,” a visitor told ABC.
The 40-foot-tall Fantasmic attraction debuted at Disneyland in 1992 and runs twice a night on Tom Sawyer’s Island.
Use special effects of water and fire to tell the story of Mickey Mouse as the sorcerer’s apprentice, interspersed with clips from classic Disney movies. EFE
