Bogor Police Chief AKBP Iman Imanuddin said the increase in the volume of vehicles going to Puncak today was significantly observed. More than 30,000 vehicles have entered the Puncak area until tonight.

“It was recorded that more than 30,000 two- and four-wheeled vehicles entered the Puncak area. As a result, the Puncak area was observed to be quite dense until Sunday night,” said Iman.

Apart from tourists, Iman said that the vehicles that pass through Puncak are also people who want to stay in touch with family and relatives. He had placed his members at the bottleneck points.

“Until now we are still carrying out efforts to regulate traffic flow until tonight, all of our personnel are stationed at the centers of congestion points,” he explained.

From CCTV monitoring along the Puncak route, there is density at a number of points along the Puncak route. Traffic jams occurred at Gadog Intersection, Selarong Rise, Taman Safari Intersection and Cisarua Market.
