All in relaxation and smiles, the volleyball players of the CCV unsurprisingly swept the Cercle Jules Ferry Fleury, the group’s red lantern, this Sunday. A big victory (3-0) for Rémi Cormier and his family who, from the outset, made their usual power speak in front of nearly 600 spectators, at Halle Jean-Cochet.
Started with a bang in the first set (25-13), Chartres took advantage of the strike force of Clément Adam and Hugo Possamaï, always in the good shots, and who did not spare the Fleuryssois, completely overwhelmed (25-16 , 25-18).
Hugo Possamaï, CCV striker: “I knew what I had to do when I came to Chartres”
Chartres remains in the lead
This success allows the players of “Kadu” to remain at the top of their pool, and therefore, to appear as the main contender for the rise in Elite. These are three precious points for them, who had marked time in March, during two high-stakes matches: in Saint-Nazaire (4th) and especially in Niort (2nd), a team which is hot on their heels in ranking.
There will remain two matches to ensure at C’Chartres Volley to reach the next level: the Sport Club de l’Ouest, on April 30, and Mérignac, at home, on May 6.
