Which is more dangerous type 1 or type 2 diabetes?

It is normal for type 1 diabetes to be similar to type 2 diabetes, but the main difference between them is that type 1 results from an autoimmune reaction and may develop early.

As for type 2 diabetes, it is linked to multiple life factors, such as lack of activity and excess weight, and this type is usually diagnosed at the time of puberty.

Type 2 diabetes can be avoided through a healthy lifestyle change and early follow-up with a doctor for regular check-ups. Diabetes from the first cannot be completely avoided.

Causes of type 1 diabetes

Type 1 diabetes usually results from the reaction of the body’s immunity, as it is difficult for the immune system to fight harmful cells in the body, and then destroy healthy cells, and this is often linked to genetic factors, and therefore this type of diabetes is largely hereditary.

Causes of type 2 diabetes

People with type 2 diabetes often suffer from insulin resistance, that is, the body secretes insulin without being able to use it. In addition, it is linked to some life factors and heredity as well.

There are some risk factors for people with type 1 diabetes, including:

Family history, that is, a family member infected with this type, whether parents or siblings.
