Vienna (OTS) – Coveted audience awards for ORF at “KURIER ROMY 2023”! This year’s trophies were presented on Saturday, April 22, 2023, during the gala of the Austrian Film and Television Awards in the Vienna Hofburg. The audience voted for ORF stars in five categories: Lisa Gadenstätter and Hanno Settele received the “ROMY” in the “TV journalism” category. Andreas Goldberger and Michael Roscher were awarded the prize in the “Sport” category. Thomas Stipsits was voted “Most Popular Actor Film”. Anke Engelke received the “ROMY” as the “most popular actress in a film” for her role in the feature film “Der Onkel”, which was co-financed by the ORF as part of the film/television agreement. Michael Steinocher won the voting for “Most popular actor series/series”. Moderator Arabella Kiesbauer hosted the evening.
ORF General Director Mag. Roland Weißmann: “It’s a pleasure to see that the local audience expresses its appreciation for the ORF stars year after year with the ‘ROMY’ audience awards. In addition to the consistently high ratings, these awards are proof that the tireless commitment and the outstanding work that they and the teams behind them do are noticed and enjoy great popularity. It is particularly nice that this year’s ‘ROMYs’ reflect the trust in the ORF program in all its public service spectrum – from TV journalism and sports to the areas of film and series/series”.
ORF program director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz: “The ‘Romy’ gala was a brilliant TV evening, which once again showed how talented and multifaceted our television and filmmakers are. I congratulate all award winners on their awards.”

“ROMY” highlights on Flimmit
On April 22, national and international stars gathered again for the “ROMY” gala in the Vienna Hofburg. But most of the “ROMY” stars can be found on Flimmit. And in what is probably the most extensive collection of “ROMY”-awarded films, series and documentaries that the Internet has to offer. These include the successful series “Days that didn’t exist” with Franziska Weisz, Diana Amft, Jasmin Gerat and Franziska Hackl, or the country thrillers “Immerstill” with Christina Cervenka and “Guardian Angel” with Michael Steinocher.
