O2 joins the growing number of domestic providers offering two gigabit per second internet connections. The operator is reacting to the introduction of these speeds by CETIN, which launched this possibility in April.
The highest O2 tariff is now 2 Gb/s for download and 1 Gb/s for upload. “It will be available at most addresses that are already covered by optics, that means for almost 250,000 households,” promises the operator. Availability can be checked here.
“The price of the Internet HD Optical 2000 tariff is 299 crowns for the first six months, after which the tariff will be charged at 899 crowns per month,” added O2. As part of O2 Spolu, the price is 500 crowns.
It can be expected that other providers using CETIN’s infrastructure will come with 2Gb internet in the near future. PODA, which is building its own network, became the first provider with this speed a year ago.
