Microsoft has disabled the feature that allows content to be uploaded directly from Xbox or Windows Game Bar to Twitter.. The official account confirms, in response to a user who was looking for a way to share a clip, that he “had to deactivate” the option, although content can still be uploaded to the social network from the Xbox application on iOS and Android.
We have had to disable the ability to share game uploads to Twitter directly from the console and Game Bar on Windows. You can still share your favorite moments to Twitter via the Xbox app for Android and iOS.— Xbox (@Xbox) April 20, 2023
The reason for this change is in the new Microsoft policywhich recently announced that Smart Campaigns would stop supporting Twitter from April 25; from that date, users will not be able to access their accounts or schedule messages from the social network management tool. Other platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn -from Microsoft itself- will continue to be accessible from Smart Campaigns.
The problem lies in the many changes that Elon Musk is making with Twitter and his requirement that companies pay a fee for the use of the API, something Microsoft opposes. The relationship between Musk and Microsoft is not going through its best moment, and the billionaire has even threatened to sue Microsoft for allegedly using Twitter data without his permission.

Twitter in the eye of the hurricane
Every week Musk and Twitter star in a headline in the media. The last decision of the social network has been to eliminate verifications for all personalities on Twitter -actors, singers, athletes…-, so that now the blue indicative only applies to accounts subscribed to Twitter Blue. Jack Dorsey, main founder of Twitter, has presented his alternative: Bluesky, which is in beta phase.
